A pregnant woman in Delhi bit off half of her husband's tongue while kissing him.
According to neighbours and family members, the woman, who was eight months pregnant, was not happy with her 22-year-old husband and felt he wasn't good-looking.
The wife often used to fight over her husband's looks and simple lifestyle, and had compatibility issues as she was “outgoing” personality, the police investigation revealed.
According to the police, the couple had an altercation multiple times but later patched up. However, each time he tried kissing her, but she never showed interest . One fine day when husband tried kissing her, she bit off almost more than half of his tongue.
The police said that even though the man underwent a surgery at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital, the doctors said it is difficult to say whether he will be able to talk again.
The woman was booked under section 326 of IPC(then) and later released on bail as she was pregnant.
Its been years now and man is unable to speak, wife remarried to her college mate later, and man is still struggling to get a job and to speak.. This old case was discussed in our presentation yesterday as a reference in one of the family courts
