Parasitology is the branch of biology that studies parasites , their hosts , and the relationship between them . A parasite is an organism that lives on or inside another organism (called the host), deriving nutrients at the host's expense. Parasitology includes the study of the biology, life cycles, transmission, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and control of parasitic infections. ๐งฌ Types of Parasites Protozoa (unicellular organisms) E.g., Plasmodium (malaria), Entamoeba histolytica (amoebiasis), Giardia lamblia (giardiasis).
