What is the most shameful incident in science history? | Munipalli akshay paul |

This is one of my favorites Her name is Haruko Obokata, in 2014 at  Riken  Center for Developmental Biology, she made headlines in Japan when she discovered a way to turn any body cell back to embryonic stem cells state by just soaking the cell into a weak bath of citric acid, basically producing 'pluripotent' stem cells; cells with the ability to develop into almost any cell type in the body called  stimulus-triggered acquisition of pluripotency  (STAP), the application for this discovery was huge and could save many lives. Obokata became an instant celebrity and the pride of Japan. Because she was a woman, young and charming, the press was increíble and people were wondering when she was getting the Noble Prize, but when the news was published by Nature, scientists around the world started to question the discovery and it was later discovered that everything was a total LIE. Man, all hell broke loose and the press went really hard on her and her team for the fraud ...

Thank you 😃 . These are small changes you can do in your life to be better than yesterday …👇😊 Drink a lot of water  - Practice drinking at least 3 litres of water in a day. The best time to drink water is just upon waking up. Switch to low-fat dairy  - Always choose low-fat dairy products. Low-fat milk is easily available in the market. Eat a handful of nuts  - Almonds, cashews, peanuts etc are a great source of fat. Good fat cuts bad fat. Eat one handful of nuts every day. Do not remove the skin of almonds. It is rich in vitamin E. Eat raw vegetables  - Onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, cabbage, capsicum are some vegetables which can be eaten raw. Eat them at least once a day. What is a harlequin born baby? | Munipalli akshay paul |

Image
WARNING: The following post contains images that may be disturbing to some readers. *** Harlequin Ichthyosis *** Description: Harlequin ichthyosis is a severe genetic disorder that mainly affects the skin. Infants with this condition are born with very hard, thick skin covering most of their bodies. The skin forms large, diamond-shaped plates that are separated by deep cracks (fissures). These skin abnormalities affect the shape of the eyelids, nose, mouth, and ears, and limit movement of the arms and legs. Restricted movement of the chest can lead to breathing difficulties and respiratory failure. The skin normally forms a protective barrier between the body and its surrounding environment. The skin abnormalities associated with harlequin ichthyosis disrupt this barrier, making it more difficult for affected infants to control water loss, regulate their body temperature, and fight infections. Infants with harlequin ichthyosis often experience an excessive loss of fluids (dehydration) ...

Why do some big snakes eat humans? | Munipalli akshay paul |

Image
Why would a giant constrictor that’s over 20ft in length eat a full grown person? It’s because they can! These horrifying incidents are rare, but they do occur from time to time. Pythons and anaconda’s are apex ambush predators that can grow to monstrous proportions and are easily capable of killing and consuming any unsuspecting person in the wrong place at the wrong time. Snakes never stop growing and in captivity these colossal reptiles can grow to 30ft! It’s called survival of the fittest, the reason why snakes have survived on this planet for at least 100 million years while the dinosaurs bit the dust. Reptiles are primeval that act on instinct and aggression and built for the kill. You can’t tame a black mamba or saltwater crocodile. The green anaconda, as well as the reticulated, burmese, rock pythons, will kill you far quicker than any venomous snake. ‘ A drunk man ended up inside the Python above’ Mercifully the snake kills you before swallowing you head first to slowly bubble...
