By using rope is the best way to climb a tree. There are mainly two technique by using the rope;

First one is, doubled rope technique. In this technique rope is draped over a branch, and both rope ends are used in a series of climbing knots which allow the climber to ascend and descend. When the climber isn't moving, the main knot, called a modified Blake's hitch, automatically holds him safely in place. Whenever climbers want to pause and enjoy the view, all they have to do is let go. Stopping in mid-air also gives the climber the thrill of being in height with complete safety.Another technique is single rope technique. In this technique one end of the rope is anchored to a branch or the base of a tree, and the climber ascends the other end of the rope by means of some type of mechanical device attached to it.

There are two methods for climbing trees.

one is called Changwod, otherwise known as the chimpanzee technique. With this technique, you alternate your hands and your feet in front of you, you walk up the tree.

this technique however is more difficult to learn and do than the next technique. Our anatomy makes it harder to do. You need very good dorsiflexion (you Achilles’ tendon and the muscles above it), and you must pull yourself closer to the tree constantly to get your center of mass closer.

due to our arms being shorter than our legs, it also can only be done in smaller trees with rough bark.

the next technique is called Chinbodn. This technique is like how a bear would run up a tree. Like the former technique, you alternate your hands on the trunk as you move up, but your legs grip the sides of the tree like a bear, and you pulse both of your legs together in a quick motion. This technique is easier to do, even if your flexibility isn’t that good. Also, with this technique your center of mass is much closer to the tree naturally, so your chance of falling is smaller, it also requires less energy. This particular technique works on thicker trees can as well as those with smoother trunks. I recommend this technique over Changwod.
